Yeap, I'm aware of that lol same situation I was in with Madison's birth. I guess I am just holding on to the idea of a homebirth, or waterbirth. I'd love either. Our hosp has labour baths so you can't birth in them and the hosp is an our away from home and thats just a right pain!!
That said had a show this morn and again just before, so FX it'll go somewhere in the next two days..
And some irritating back pain ATM...

Madiandme - nobody can *make* you have an induction, even past 42 weeks it is still your right to say no if your baby is healthy and you are comfortable with it. Being "overdue" certainly shouldn't prevent you from a homebirth either - I can dig up some info on post dates if you are at all interested.

Chicky - Base hosp has a birthing pool They replaced one of the labour spas for a birth pool not so long ago. Must be a pain having to travel an hour tho. My friend was in the same position few months ago.
Good luck and I hope baby comes soon for you.

This is true, my friend had a horrible experience being induced with her first, so her second she went way over, but baby was healthy and she was comfy (and enjoying the time while her DD was at kindy and she was kid free for a bit during the day haha ) and they booked her in for an induction but she rang the day before and said she wasn't coming, they just said "ok" .
3 days later labour started normally and baby was born healthy and happy 6 hours later

So induction booked for tomorrow, having 3rd S&S today to try and get things moving..Hopefully it will spark some action.

*sprinkling labour dust*...All of my kids have gone overdue...10 days each time but I was induced with that gel stuff with the 2 older ones...with my DS my mw recommended other methods to bring bubs on naturally so I took some of that herbal stuff (can't remember what it's called now) and had acupuncture every 3 days. I also had to use the maternity rocker to make sure bubs was well positioned...it all paid off when I lost my plug (on the 10th day..hehe) and went into labour....my nephews wife is having her baby as we speak (c-section) as she is now 17 days overdue...all the best with bubs:)
