Topic: A quick question :) Posted: 27 December 2010 at 8:26pm |
Have just found out I am UTD again, I am not sure I can get to a doc to get some FA in the next week or so, and I had some elevit leftover from last time but it expired in May this year? Are they okay to take?

Aww thanks everyone! I have managed to get given some from a friend My midwife has recommended Elevit to see whether it will make a difference to how much MS I get this time, I will be happy if I just get it to 12 weeks, though I'm a bit nauseous already so I'm thinking its probably going to be a repeat of last time loL!

I wasn't very good at taking it last time, so will give it another go and see how well it works out

Yay congrats Bex
Good luck on the MS front. I hope you dont have it as bad this time. I found taking Elevit with milk helped while I had MS.

Hmm Bex Ive read A LOT that Elevit made most peoples MS even worse so Id be inclined to stay away from it with how bad you were last time hun. I think plain folic acid will be fine, thats all Ive ever taken :) oh and floradix!
and Congrats again What a lovely xmas pressie for you and soon to be DH!

Dont forget about the iodine which you need to get on prescription! I found taking my tablets at night ment they were more likely to stay where they were supposed to lol.
Congrats!!

Congrats!!
I used to take my elevits when i first woke up in the morning and would end up feeling BLURGH but the last 5 days or so i took them at night and i've been fine, probably the first time during my pregnancy i haven't felt sick as soon as i opened my eyes!!
My elevit is all gone now...im 19 weeks and am not sure if actual elevit is still crucial or if i can take some other pregnancy vitamins? im on iodine pills too but still have heaps left. The elevit itself is SOO expensive and the packet says for the first 3 months so im hoping i can cope with just normal pregnancy vitamins?

Bex try 25mg of b6 every 8 hours, worked a treat for me, medium to bad nausea when I hadnt eaten or was over tired and only vomitted a handful of times....
