Safe T Sleep - til when??

Hi there,
Jake sleeps in a Safe T Sleep ... I'm just wondering - to those who used them - at what age did you stop?

He is a good sleeper - wakes a couple of times a month if hes sick (which he is constantly due to being in daycare now) but thats about it. He will normally only wake with a really high temp or if he is so blocked up he can't breathe. Sleeps thru coughing and wipes snot all over his face but doens't wake us, and even slept thru throwing up once!

So I don't want to take him out and have him standing up in the cot / getting stuck in the bars etc and waking up .... but I'm wondering how long I should keep him in it? I know it says you can til he goes into a bed, but it seems a bit weird to have him strapped into a bed to me.

Daycare have just taken him out of it this week, as he opened it up, but he is in a tiny bunk thing that he can't stand up in anyway there.

We ditched Daniels at 11 monthish I think. He stands up in his cot and gets into some screwed up positions for his day sleeps but hes fine at night

we ditched ours when Ella was around 8 months- she figured out how to undo the velco, so i stopped using it. She played around a bit the first couple of days it was taken off, but after that was fine.

Ella stands/walks/runs around in her cot, but when she is tired always so to sleep perfectly fine and we use a cot bumper for her, so has never got stuck in the cot bars (although the bumper is more to protect her head when she decides to be silly and run and dive in the cot

 

We STARTED using it at about 14 months as that is when Elle started to get up and roll (she walked before then...just did things out of order) and we couldn't get her to sleep.   Prior to that she wouldn't move an inch in her bed. We used it for about 5 months so stopped when she was about 19 months.

see Vincent rolls from tummy to side to back etc. i leave it a little loose otherwise he gets too frustrated trying to roll over. Of course when he was little he was wrapped so didn't roll. We started using it very early on. Like a week old or something

honestly until Vincent starts to kick up a fuss about having it on or starts to get out of it regularly then i will not be tkaing him out of it, i see no harm. he sometimes gets twisted in it once he's awake, but never when he's asleep so i see no worries with it

i totally agree tysmummy. I think Vincent would play too if he wasn't in his safe t sleep. Mum made it so it not a great expensive one, but works the same & does the same job. And WAY cheaper. lol. I am really wanting to use it to help with transition to big bed. We have four in total. One for the bassinet, one for hte portacot, one for his cot & one at mums place in her portacot. means where ever he goes, it's all the same. we generally have no trouble with settling coz of it
