Topic: Just Over It! Posted: 30 June 2011 at 10:52am |
Am I just being a wimp here? I am just totally over being pregnant and finding it really hard to stay composed. Everything hurts, I constantly have heartburn and feel sick and have headaches and I just don't know what to do with myself. I'm worried as I've still got 4 weeks to go! Any advice on coping with this for another month!?

No you're not being a wimp, anyone who's been there knows exactly how you feel, but sadly there's no real solution - you just have to deal with it ... Sorry.

the last few weeks I always found were the hardest. I always found swimming great. It was relaxing, it helped with the aches and it helped keep me busy

It's perfectly normal be gentle with yourself and get as much rest and relaxation as you can you'll need it for the birth and the first couple of weeks of sleepless nights.
You never know you may not have to wait another month, I thought I had weeks to go DD had other ideas and decided to make her entrance at 37+5 weeks. She caught us quite unprepared for her arrival.

I know how you feel, I'm 39+4 now and every day I'm thinking today must be the day, surely, but also hoping he stays in there another day so I can get some rest, have tasty dinner and just go to bed.
Gaaaaaah!

I've never made it past 6.5 weeks before, and this time I'm at 9.5 weeks and I am already over being pregnant. I am sick all the time and freaking out that even though we've been ttc for 3.5 years, I might not be ready for a kid.

Well I'm still awake and reading this instead of in bed cos I have been getting constant period pain and back ache and it's extremely hard to sleep. I'm not even ready to have a baby yet but I am over being pregnant!

You are so not alone!!! After wanting to be pregnant for so long, I'm very much over being pregnant and ready for the next step.
Pregnancy is hard work! It's physically and emotionally draining not to mention the hormonal mind trip you spend months on. Give yourself a break, it really is ok to not be ok with feeling like cr@p. That goes for you too Kelzie it doesn't mean you don't want or aren't ready for your child, it means that you are human and feeling rubbish is no fun!

I'm with you guys! Only 28 weeks and I am well over it. I am having trouble getting shoes and pants on already and tummy is tight all the time. My ribs have started flexing (ow!!), have had SPD for over 2 months and yep, basically just over it and not looking forward to sucking it up for another 12 weeks (trying not to think of the fact #1 was 10days overdue *sob sob*). Deff the last time I do this pregnancy malarkey!

lol I'm seeing midwife tomorrow and I'll be asking for all the tricks to get this baby on the way! I'm trying not to think that it might go over (its my first)! It's nice to know I'm not the only one who is finding this hard.
Good luck to you all!

Bahah i was almost on my knees begging to be induced when i got to 10 days over. I can still remember those last weeks...horrid! And this was in january too it was disgustingly hot. Actually the day DS was born it was 38 degrees!! Swimming is fantastic. And baths. And lazing around the place. Im not sure how people with toddlers manage being pregnant since you cant laze so much.

Can TOTALLY relate to you all! I'm 39 weeks, 2 days and been over being pregnant for a LONG time! Not to mention the fact that my other little boy is 15 months old and I definitely can't laze around like I did the first time. He keeps me so busy and it's so hard physically some days. Hurry up baby! Get out of there!!

It scares me!!!! I went to 41+6 with Jacob, and I coped by taking it super-easy and just chilling out the whole time. I was uncomfortable, but at least there were no demands on me. This time round, I have no idea how I'll manage if I go that far over... I guess you can do anything if you have to.

I've been trying to find a job to do each day, as well as being sore and uncomfortable I'm now getting bored too! These boys have no idea what we go through. Only two weeks to go now. I too have no idea how women with toddlers do it, you are all amazing!
