Am I just being a wimp here? I am just totally over being pregnant and finding it really hard to stay composed. Everything hurts, I constantly have heartburn and feel sick and have headaches and I just don't know what to do with myself. I'm worried as I've still got 4 weeks to go! Any advice on coping with this for another month!?

No you're not being a wimp, anyone who's been there knows exactly how you feel, but sadly there's no real solution - you just have to deal with it ... Sorry.

the last few weeks I always found were the hardest. I always found swimming great. It was relaxing, it helped with the aches and it helped keep me busy

It's perfectly normal be gentle with yourself and get as much rest and relaxation as you can you'll need it for the birth and the first couple of weeks of sleepless nights.

You never know you may not have to wait another month, I thought I had weeks to go DD had other ideas and decided to make her entrance at 37+5 weeks. She caught us quite unprepared for her arrival.

I know how you feel, I'm 39+4 now and every day I'm thinking today must be the day, surely, but also hoping he stays in there another day so I can get some rest, have tasty dinner and just go to bed.

Gaaaaaah!

I've never made it past 6.5 weeks before, and this time I'm at 9.5 weeks and I am already over being pregnant. I am sick all the time and freaking out that even though we've been ttc for 3.5 years, I might not be ready for a kid.

You are so not alone!!! After wanting to be pregnant for so long, I'm very much over being pregnant and ready for the next step.
Pregnancy is hard work! It's physically and emotionally draining not to mention the hormonal mind trip you spend months on. Give yourself a break, it really is ok to not be ok with feeling like cr@p. That goes for you too Kelzie it doesn't mean you don't want or aren't ready for your child, it means that you are human and feeling rubbish is no fun!

I'm with you guys! Only 28 weeks and I am well over it. I am having trouble getting shoes and pants on already and tummy is tight all the time. My ribs have started flexing (ow!!), have had SPD for over 2 months and yep, basically just over it and not looking forward to sucking it up for another 12 weeks (trying not to think of the fact #1 was 10days overdue *sob sob*). Deff the last time I do this pregnancy malarkey!

lol I'm seeing midwife tomorrow and I'll be asking for all the tricks to get this baby on the way! I'm trying not to think that it might go over (its my first)! It's nice to know I'm not the only one who is finding this hard.
Good luck to you all!

Bahah i was almost on my knees begging to be induced when i got to 10 days over. I can still remember those last weeks...horrid! And this was in january too it was disgustingly hot. Actually the day DS was born it was 38 degrees!! Swimming is fantastic. And baths. And lazing around the place. Im not sure how people with toddlers manage being pregnant since you cant laze so much.

Can TOTALLY relate to you all! I'm 39 weeks, 2 days and been over being pregnant for a LONG time! Not to mention the fact that my other little boy is 15 months old and I definitely can't laze around like I did the first time. He keeps me so busy and it's so hard physically some days. Hurry up baby! Get out of there!!

It scares me!!!! I went to 41+6 with Jacob, and I coped by taking it super-easy and just chilling out the whole time. I was uncomfortable, but at least there were no demands on me. This time round, I have no idea how I'll manage if I go that far over... I guess you can do anything if you have to.

I've been trying to find a job to do each day, as well as being sore and uncomfortable I'm now getting bored too! These boys have no idea what we go through. Only two weeks to go now. I too have no idea how women with toddlers do it, you are all amazing!

I'm totally with you bike baby, I've got 4 weeks to go with our little surprise natural baby. Everything hurts and the indigestion is dynamite.
I've got an 11 month old DS (ivf icsi baby) so he is keeping me busy, even worse he is just getting over a nasty bout of the flu. DH currently has man flu. No sympathy in my house for me! Lol. Roll on 19th of August!

I'm still here as well, have had a cold for the last week and a half and have ended up with a sinus infection so conversely I am now happy to stay preggers for a few days longer till I feel better.

I didn't know how mums managed to be pregnant with other kids but you just do it, you don't have any choice. When hubby is on lates though I am exhausted by their bedtime, is a bit easier when Dh is earlies and is home by 3pm to help me out!

Hope you get better real quick cuppatea and baby stays snug inside until you are well again

The last few months of my pregnancy I was in tears practically every time I took a step,my heartburn, which had been bad with my other two was so unbearable this time I would wake up crying,I was nauseous constantly,my back hurt all the time and I had a toddler to run around after and a child who had just started a new school.
I went 2 weeks over and thought I was going to go crazy, now however, its all a distant memory.

If this is your first, and you are no longer working SLEEP when you can,you don't get the chance to rest so much when you have toddlers as well.

Due tomorrow, had show 3.5 weeks ago but still absolutely no other sign of baby making an arrival anytime soon, and was told babies normally arrive within two weeks of a show, but obviously not normal here. Sinus infection cleared up and cold mostly gone, feeling well enough to labour now so she can get out!

OH!!! I didn't know you were having a girl Cuppatea, thats so exciting! congrats!

Bikebaby,my first baby didn't engage until right before birth, she was a week over due but my point is,not all babies engaged well beforehand, some don't engage till the day before,or even on the day

Totally hear you all, it can get pretty hard at the end, but at least you know it is nearly over, just keep holding onto that thought, and try to enjoy the last few days/weeks with your partner (if it is your first) before your lives change forever.

I found that planning something to do each day helped when I was in that final countdown - like a visit to a friend's place, a movie, a coffee out - just little treats. They helped the time to go.

Also during the first trimester (which is always the worst for me as I have such bad MS and just want to curl up in a ball and die most of the time) I had a picture of my scan photo on my phone and that helped me remember what all this was happening for. I used to look at it when I was feeling particularly low.
Keep focused on the fact that you are going to have a baby soon and it will all be worth it in the end!
good luck!

I thought I was going to be pregnant forever ,every single time, with my first I thought she was actually too...erm,dense to realise she needed to get out.
My kids were 8 days over,7 days over and 14days over....took their time but they made it out eventually.
Stubbornness starting young, thats what it is

My midwife said exactly the same thing to me but DD was born a day early. Anything can happen.

Had my little girl two days ago! Two days overdue, she was posterior (Flipped at the last minute and came out the right way) and her head didn't engage until she came out. Labour only an hour and a half!!

Had totally had enough of being pregnant, but eventually they DO come!
