Gabrielle was so wonderful for a while but in the last week she's totally lost it. She won't nap, she's up half the night (happily..not needing anything), she is bored within about 20mins of being at home and is having many screaming fits. She doesn't want to eat and has a wobbly when I offer her things. She doesn't want to draw or read or play games or watch TV. She cried for 2 hours solidly yesterday evening.

Pamol and bonjela don't help. Don't think she has a temp but she won't let me take it so I don't know. She does have teeth coming through - 1.5 molars and 2 bottom teeth.

Is this an age thing or a teething thing or something else? I don't know! Gah!

Sorry girls, no advice just some hugs, don't remember this stage as neither of my girls were having day naps at this stage.  On a positive note if they did go thru it it must pass without too much prob as I cant remember it lol lol

Wow! No day sleeps? We're not even down to 1 yet...up until this week we had 2 2 hour naps per day or at the least, 3.5 hours of nap time! Amazing how different they are. All Elle's peers are down to 1 nap but she is just not ready. I've tried keeping her up longer in the mornings but she gets overtired and then only does a 20 or 40 min nap and needs another one within 1.5 hours and then ANOTHER one later in the day! Sleepy child (except this week!)

ooooh I used to pray for day sleeps!!! Towards the end of this year and while the routine has been thrown out for different reasons & also the chicken pox, Anastasia mostly & Ashlyn occasionally have been having an afternoon sleep.  just depends on how grumpy and what the night before was like

Fiona I think it is also the weather and the calming down period after Christmas. Other than the not sleeping, Cailtin has the exact same temperment at the mo

Like all the other not so nice stages, we just have to ride it out (and keep a bottle of booze handy LOL)

I guess. Today we had 2 solid hours of screaming and in the end she went to bed at 6.20pm with no food or drink as she won't take any. She had woken at 5 and not gone to back to sleep and then only napped for 1.5 hours in the middle of the day. She is just not sleeping enough and hence she is too tired to do anything by cry.
