Any tips for a smooth hair cut. Luke dislikes his hair being brushed or combed. BUT the time has come for a haircut he has had one before but when he was younger so no problems then.

As he is nearly 20 months and likes to say "no" to everything. it will be tricky. I thought about taking his favourite books, food (if just cuts allow)

Any tips and ideas on how to make this go smoothly this afternoon. ?

Michaela got her first haircut yesterday at Just Cuts.  The lady wanted her to sit still with her head straight so a book might be a good idea.  Michaela was much to interested in her wiggles hairdressing cape and couldn't stay still but I don't think hairdressers can really expect a little one to sit still for long anyway.  Luckily they're really quick.

I did Daniels hair myself the other day while he was in the bath. He doesn't like sitting still or having his hair brushed but DH distracted him with his bath toys while I quickly cut it. And I have no experience at all at cutting it. I just made sure it was all the same length and it looks better than the cut he had done at the hairdressers!

I did Maddie's hair the other day and boy did she wriggle so I hate to imagine her at a hairdresser...that said though, I've had enough compliments on her hair I'm starting to think that people aren't just being nice!

Well went on Saturday morning to just cutz and they wanted $25 bucks!!! can you believe it. Because it was saturday and not friday. Weekdays it's $13 dollars but the weekebd it's not. Crazy with a captial C.

Anyway went down to another shop in the mall $12 more my price.

Luke was excellent sat him on my knee and he sat really still the hairdresser used the clippers a lot safer than scissors. Luke only got a bit upset when hair got in his mouth anfd eyes. Total understandble.!!

It went so smoothly he even waved goodbye afterwards!

I of course collected every strand of hair, all the curls and that was that!

We took tom to a local hairdresser.  he was great and sat still. It was all over in 5 min and cost us $5!!! and he got his first lollipop!  I then went back the next day for a cut colour and foils and it only cost $80!!!!  I was stoked!

I took Georgia to Rodney Wayne (at Bayfair, Mt Maunganui) and they charged me $6.50!! YAY.I was going for a free fringe trim, so decided it was time for Georgia to get her first haircut - and they were excellent. I just sat her on my knee and distracted her. A couple of times I had to hold her head still so they could cut her fringe - but I think she kinda liked it...she thought it was a game.
