Questions 1:

Yes definately tell doctor or MW. There is a condition called oligohydramnios (loss of amnioctic fluid)during pregnancy which needs to be treated carefully. She could have this or she may have had a bladder leak and not realised. Either way, inform a doctor or MW as they will want to do a few tests.

Question 2:

Can't help on the "transverse" sorry but in regards to measuring smaller I wouldn't worry to much as long as it is increasing. I meansured small the whole way through my pregnancy. If the MW is concerned next time she measures she will probably send for a scan.

Question 3:

Could be the mucus plug releasing? I would talk to MW or doctor & see what they say.

Question 4:

have no idea, ask doctor of MW?

Question 5:

I can't help with the measurements sorry, did the sonographer send a report to the MW or doctor?

Question 6:

I remember my MW teling me from 30 weeks on discharge can increase so if it were me I wouldn't worry to much but if she is concerned talk to MW or doctor.

Question 7:

Don't really know about this but I would suspect because the doc knows about it, mum & baby will be monitored very closely during labour & if there are any signs of a distressed heart beat they will probably do an emergency c/sec. I would suggest mum do some reading up on c/sec so she isn't totally unprepared if it comes to that.

Question 8:

I would say either her water has broken & baby's head is now covering the opening hence no more leaking or she has had a bladder leak. Definately call MW or doctor. Even though a water breaks, some woman don't go into active labour straight away. Sometimes it can be hours to days but if the water has broken the doctor might need to give antibotics.

Question 9:

I don't think a MW checks before 40 weeks unless she is given reason to? It also may come down to the MW in general, they all do things slightly differently.

Question 10:

I have head that being induced can cause more intense labour pains as the meds are bringing labour on faster. There is loads of information on the internet (just google) so she can have a read of other people birth stories who have been through the same type of thing. I know reading birth stories helped me prepare for labour.

Sorry I couldn't help with all questions & some others may have been info than I do. Good luck to all the ladies!
