seriously...she has taken over my ipod touch!!! I made the mistake (?) of downloading free kids applications and she is entranced....

there are some amazing "games" - a jigsaw one that she has absolutely mastered, a match up animals to shadows one, and now a writing one where she traces the letters...and in one after noon i watched her conquer how to write A - F in capitals - thought nothing of it and then Dc commented on how she wrote her nameat Dc beautifully for first time!!!

and another app taught her how to play twinkle twinkle on the piano on ipod!!! tres cool!!!

Anyone have any applications they use or have found helpful they want to share??? Ill do a list later on if anyone interested of useful ones for us so far...I never thought an ipod would turn into such a useful teaching tool!

Oh gosh.. I've decided that Thomas will not be using a computer or anything like that until school (and then only for researching things that he cant find in the library first). I didnt have one til I was a teenager, so he wont. Interesting that iPod do kids aps! I thought it was just music :P hehe.

Miss angel - Ella uses the computer at DC now in her class...they learn the letters etc and she has advanced so much using it! ALSO we have a couple of schools near us that have laptops in all classrooms and some schools that ask you to buy an apple computer for their homework and log in assignments etc....be prepared as it is the computer age now...

ok I forgot to add prgrammes...sorry

here they are (all free apps cause I refuse to pay for these!)

Scoops - get icecream onto a cone but avoid the bad tomoatoes etc (its a coordination based game ideal for her age)

Baby piano lite - she LOVES this - flick the switch to learn to play twinkle twinkle!!!

Learn time lite - yes learn to tell the time!!

Fairies lite - she loves the free tinker bell videos in the map area - great when you are out esp if you dont want to use up video space with kids videos (ummm but i do that too!)

Donuts - dunking donuts game!! match and release type game

Cindematch - match the pairs game of cinderella

Whimsy - her fave jigsaw game

Kids ABC - she does the "write"part of this - letters A - G with sound

Sweet tooth - another match game but with less cards to match

cute cats - go on try and resist this one!!! like a scratchie card for kids!!!

ABC phonics - learn ABC etc

Booooly - match and release - she loves this one

i had others but have removed them as they were close to some of the above and these ones are her faves so removed similars....

there are also free episodes of sesame street and wordworld (LOVE THAT!!!) on itunes to download...cant tell u how many times she has watched wordworld

and also the kids sing apps - her fave is currently "on top of spaghetti" and she sings along to it

HAVE FUN!!!!
