I thought when I heard the news article "I'm sure someone said this happened to them on OHBABY the other day!" and sure enough it was you! I am so happy that your little girl is OK!
p.s. I know that some parents on other parenting forums might pick fault in your story and for what happened, but I hope you ignore it! None of us are infallible and you deserve a pat on the back for taking the time to remind others of the importance of these kind of things!

You guys are sooooooooooo nice!! Thanks! All this fame is doing my head in though.. I was in my pj's and then phone rang, again, and this time it was our local paper "The Press", wanted to do an article, so I have quickly spurced myself up for them to come and take a photo, poor DH is really sick and made him get of the couch to clean all the toys off the floor!

oh you lucky thing! hehehehe *jealous* I am forever trying to get people to run stories for me (just to educate the public on car seats etc) but very rarely is anyone interested LOL Not that I mind, there are so many worthy causes that deserve attention and yours is one of them. Enjoy it while it lasts and don't forget to keep a copy of the news show to show your kid(s) then they(re) older and the newspaper too!

Well done Lisha. I normally watch TV3 and hadn't been on here today and when I heard the story start I thought of you and thought how terrible it was that this had happened again (after already reading your story) and when they said "Lucy" I realised it was you!
I think you spoke really well, and I hope you find that young guy who helped you so you can thank him. I can only imagine how he must feel - he saved someones life and not everyone can say they have done that!!!!!!

Glad you are all OK. Hopefully all this raises some awareness to use the wheel lock on buggy's/pushchairs when not holding onto it - especially on any kinda slope! Glad all worked out OK for you.

I saw it too - I also think you came across great and the whole piece was really well done. I tell you what, all 3 that I have heard of happening like this (the 2 in Oz and now you) have all been 3 wheeled buggys - it has really put me off them!

Me too, although we still use it, have got a double buggy for when the new born comes along, and that looks more stable than the 3-wheeler, and a stroller for 4 wheels!
