heya,

Any ideas on how to encourage your baby to walk???

Jaxon is almost 11 months and hes walking  along the furniture and standing for very short periods of time without help but hes been doing this since he was 8 months.

Dont get me wrong Im not really in too much hurry but I was hoping he was taking his first steps by his 1st birthday...

He is saying his first sentences though..

I was recording him at the time so that was cool.

He dropped a toy while standing in his play pen and picked it up and got back up and said 'I did it' I did. with big smiles all over his face... It was so amazing....

My camera wasnt digital though. bummer cos I would have posted it to here. hehe...

My 2 eldest started walking independently at 12 1/2 mos - he'll get there in his own time!

What a clever boy! Saying sentences is amazing :)

Do you have to spend half your day walking him around? Elle loves to walk but is very lacking in confidence so "expects" me to spend all my time holding her hands so she can go from place to place. I too am anxious for her to walk so she can explore for herself but my Plunket nurse said it may well take a while for her confidence to grow.
