Hey,

I was wondering what would you reccomend that babis should wear to the pools??

My son  is 10 months and i want to take him to the hot pools one day soon but not sure if I just put him in those swimmers nappies or that and a rash top and pants. etc.

Dont say speedos!! lol.

Whats your preference?? What the in thing???

if you are going to be taking him swimming lots it may pay to get a reusable swim nappy cause it could cost a lot in disposables. i got one from TM, i know honeychild do them (think they still do) as well as lots of other nappy sites, including snazzipants.

my boys usually have a swim nappy and a rash top. depending on where (i.e pool, or beach) I might put the rash pants on too.

Is there any advantage to cloth swim nappies over any kind of empty pocket nappy?

The gremlins have cloth swim nappies and they wear rash vests as well. I guess an empty pocket would do the same job as long as it is fitted snugly around the legs. An empty pocket might gape without the stuffing to pad it out tho?

If we go to an indoor pool Jack just has little swimmers on and no top.

Andrew started out in just a Huggies Little swimmer (he was only 3 months when he started swimming. once he reached size 1 (was about 8 months old) he went into his rash suit, it was a bit big but that was ok. Now he just wears boardies.

Josh has a reuseable swim nappy and so far has just gone in that.

I've hardly taken the girls swimming LOL - Emma (and others) will understand At home I just leave on whatever nappy they have on until they are old enough to go without.

At the public pools Hannah has a reusable swim nappy and a rash vest. At home over summer in the paddling pool she just wore little tog bottoms and rash vest, didnt worry about nappy.

oohhh never thought about using a normal cloth nappy!

And yes Honey Child still sell swim nappies but I find them a bit small fitting (or should that be Caitlin finds them small ) so she's in the 2-4yrs ones. Has her mother's booty

For swimming she wears a rash suit and swim nappy
