Hey everyone,
Had my appointment with Mike East at the Oxford Clinic today and he is 99.9% sure I have endo. I am having surgery on the 15th of next month to check it out. Scary
He wants me to focus a lot on weight loss and to actually stop TTC till we have sorted out the endo and PCOS more. He even wants us to use condoms! Hubby isn't too impressed after 5 years of not wearing any. Haha.
He wants me to stop charting, stop doing OPK's, blood tests and anything else to do with TTC.
It's really bizarre, but I trust him, and I understand what he's getting out. I need to put my health as the number 1 priorty and THEN he will help us with the TTC issue.
So... thats all from me for now.... watch this space though cos I'll be back TTC with a vengeance when we're all sorted!

Most specialists seem to be of the opinion that aside from getting to know your cycle, all the 'extras' just add stress/anxiety which is why they like you to get rid of them. I must admit, life is quite lovely not worrying about temping and charting and everything else - and I realised the other day that I have no idea where I am in my cycle at the mo, and it's bliss!
He may be concerned that your health as it is at the moment might compromise a pregnancy? It seems to be their thing to really optimise the chance of a successful pregnancy - it's one of the reasons they're against twins/multiples for IVF.
All the best for your operation - I had it last September If you want to talk, just send me a PM.

Thanks Ginger.
You're right too. I would be really worried if I got pregnant at this weight. I would be at high risk for Gestational diabetes and all sorts of other complications.
As the doc said, my dice has tonnes of sides, not just 6, so we need to start getting rid of them to have a better chance!

how exciting Lou. I know heaps of people who have used him and thought he was great, and they all ended up with babies! And speaking from experience it does totally suck to be overweight and pregnant, you really wont enjoy it and after waiting so long you might aswell enjoy the time you are pregnant. If you want to go back to WW I'll come with you but cant really do saturday mornings again, will do any night though except Tuesdays.
