... your husband comes home at the end of the day (or partner) and says "I'm tired"... !?!?
If there is ONE thing that really truly DEEPLY ticks me off that Roland says, is "I'm tired" !!!!!!!!!!! I don't think he means it in a personal way, or as if to say I don't work as hard as he does, but it really gets my goat something awful anyway... I hate it as well, but I know my DH is tired coming home from his work as he has to deal with children all day and its usually the naughty ones he has to deal with. I know mine tried the "you don't do anything" on me and I showed him the door and told him to come back when he realised that I was 6 months pregnant, had Andrew at home with me and assignments to do as well. He soon understood what I meant and realises that I do a lot it just might not look like I have done a lot. ------------- I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived! |

Yes but I know that running a business is tiring too

| Yes its TOTALLY annoying! Grrr! Lol! Especially when I have very occasionally asked him to take Isla off me for a min cos im going insane,..and he says "Im too tired" Grrrr! And the absoulte worst thing is when I have got grumpy about that, and he says "Oh go back to bed" Grrr! Like thats all I do all day! |

oh yeah i get that all the time - and I work full time too!!! we both have high pressure jobs but i dont complain (much) when i have to come home and cook etc...
like tonight - he is home early today at 4pm to meet the carpet man and the rental agent for another prop - bet he doesnt get dinner ready - it is all out ready to do but bet it is still there uncooked when i get home!!! And his excuse if he is caught grumping at me is "im sorry but i am sooo tired.."...ARGH! MEN - sorry on a bit of a rant at moment...did mine in march thread last night too so not a good subject to start me on today!!! |

well i got home and dinner wasnt cooked!!! NICE!!!!
then after dinner he tells me he sis tired and ready for bed...ok...and then five mins later he says he thinks he will take the speed boat for a run...YOU WHAT!!!! I banned him from doing that tonight - so he has now been forced to take the dogs for a run (drives to paddocks and lets them loose!)..and buy me an icecream while he is out...OMG how can they go from dog tired to wanting to go boating!!!!

It annoys me too when Andrew says that. The thing that got me the other night was this: 10.30pm, I'm in the middle of trying to take biscuits out of the oven (to take to a friend who had a wee girl last week) and Amelia wakes up really yelling. Does he leap up from the computer? No! Another minute passes and he's still sitting there while Amelia really winds herself up, I'm thinking I'm gonna drop piping hot biscuits all over the floor and I turn around and say 'can you go' .. It only bugs me when the "I'm tired" follows me saying "Can you take a baby for a minute while I [insert activity eg.cook dinner,bath Maya etc.]" Like I'm not tired! -------------  Maya Grace (28/02/03)

i know where you're coming from jax! the thing that gets me is that whenever mikey needs something DP just assumes that i'm the one who's going to do it, the only time he does something is if i ask him to and even then it's done very grudgingly. i nearly fainted the one time he offered to give mikey a bath so i could sit down for a bit. ------------- |

| I think I'm the 'I'm tired' one in our house. We both work full time and when we come home we focus on the kids until they're in bed then DH cooks and I sit in the chair and moan about how tired I am...then after dinner DH is using working on the house. I can't help myself saying 'I'm tired'. I don't really mean anything by it but it just sums up how I am feeling |

I see red when hubby tells me how tired he is after a day's work just after I've told him I'd love a full night's sleep and am feeling dog-tired!!! Then I get "but I've been working all day, a long day too" - as if my 6am start while he peacefully slept was just for the fun of it, and looking after baby isn't work at all!!! Then again, there are mornings when I get up as he's leaving for work so I can't really complain! But no Jax, you're not crazy for getting angry bout that one - it's blimmin infuriating sometimes! ------------- Andie |

You know what ladies, I'm starting to think we might all be married to the same man haha...It's pretty suspicious that we seem to hear the same things from them isn't it!
And yes, I know some women have great helpful and supportive husbands who never have to be asked to do things to help out, and are totally in touch with your needs...you have to admit though, they're pretty rare

Hey Pepsi, I must admit that my hubby is awsome now. He does allot of house work and cooks dinner every weekday (as he finishes much earlier than me). As well as do all the outside work!!
