Hi all
I'm looking for a midwife in the Waikato area. Preferably Te Awamutu (or who will meet for appointments at the TA Birthing clinic), but will consider Hamilton.
My old midwife is unable to take me on as she will be away though has taken on my care in the meantime until I find someone. I have called a few midwives and either found they are fully booked (Already! I'm only 5 weeks), or very reluctant and ask if I can try elsewhere first due to me needing an elective c-section. My old midwife is out of recommendations within TA, I've called almost everyone on the TA Birthing website (a couple I haven't as have been warned off them or know they don't take electives)

So any recommendations on midwives who have no issue with electives? I don't mind if they're naturally inclined as I like that approach, just obviously need a c-section.
I've looked in the 'recommend your midwife' thread, and all recommendations (online and in real life) have led me to a dead end so far.

Thanks

Hi, just wondering if you ended up finding a good midwife in Te awamutu and which ones you were recommended not to use. It really is hard finding a midwife out here!
