I an 34 weeks pregnant and all I want is a ham or luncheon sandwich! Haha I'm also going on a picnic this weekend and have no idea on what to pack for me to eat. I seem to be having the same old food over and over. Does anyone have any pregnancy safe recipes for a picnic?

Why not buy some ham and cook it yourself, slice then have a sandwich?

Just had a ham sandwich yesterday.. I buy/eat the vacum sealed from the supermarket. Only fresh of course.. These dumb rules are just out their to scare the common sense out of people.. I don't know anyone that has ever had food poisoning from a ham sandwich, esp not a fresh one! Just don't go buying any ham sandwich that could be from yesterday and un-refridgerated!

Vaccum sealed and fresh should be fine,I wouldnt touch deli stuff though.. if taking to a picnic make sure it stays super cold- sit ot on an icepack or something..or how about cook some bacon and have a bacon sandwich? :)

I get your craving as ham sandwiches are a favourite of mine, pregnant or not lol, I ate ham sandwiches throughout most of my pregnancy. My midwife assured me it's fine as long as it not the stuff from the deli. Just buy it in the vacuum packs and you're good to go. I think about all the other countries like Germany and the Netherlands where salami's and cold meats are a staple food...and they eat them all throughout pregnancy too. I had a friend from Denmark who moved to NZ and she was shocked to find out that we don't eat cold meats in pregnancy.

Why not to eat what you really want?) Of course, we should eat more healthy food, fruits, vegetables, peanuts and so on. But when I have such a huge will (I'm http://motherhow.com/9-months-pregnant/" rel="nofollow - 9 months pregnant ), I can allow it myself. But in small portions and not so often.
