Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone has had an elective section at Waikato Hospital and when their first meeting with the OB and antheisist (sp) team was?

I am 28 weeks pregnant with #2 and had alot of trouble when I had DD where the spinal block wore off before they finished the surgery. Obviously I am nervous about having another c-section as I want to know my options for anestic (sp). I have expressed my concerns to my midwife who said I wouldnt be seen until 34 weeks or more.
After a breakdown of tears and explaining to her what had happened with DD she wrote a referral for me to see the anethisist as soon as possible to come up with a plan to put my mind at ease.

I got a call from the hospital who told me I wouldnt be seen until mid-late Septemeber (I will be 34-36 weeks). I was hoping to have the baby at 38 weeks, so really unsure if this is normal practise or not.

Any tips or personal experiences would be great.
