Been TTC for four years after my first miscarriage, last July 5, 2013 had my HPT and its positive and based on my LMC Im in my 6 weeks. Went to my first ultrasound and only pregnancy sac no heartbeat. Based on my pregnancy sac size its 7 and half weeks. I am so devastated something that is not right.
I had to do my hcg test and found out that my first hcg was 52000 to 32,000 and down to 16,000 and still waiting for the last hcg blood test result which Ive done today. Until now I just could't believe that I miscarry my second preganancy as I dont feel any cramping nor any blood spot compare to my first misccariaged.
My midwife referred me to EPAC for further assesment and they will give me a call once they receive my blood test result by today or tom.
Im a bit scared what will happen next after this blood test result. My midwife told me about DNC and until now I couldn't stop thinking about DNC thing coz Ive heard that its a bit painful.
1) Is there anyone here that feel the same way, havent feel any cramping or blood spot?
2) Do I have to wait until I have my blood come out naturally or Do I have to do DNC straight away?
Appreciate your comments or advice.

Hi Rode,
Im so sorry that you are going through this.
You get two choices! You can have a d&c or take some pills that help your body to loose the baby :( they should decuss both options with you at your appointment.
I have had a d&c with my first MC and it is not painful you are asleep and don't feel a thing.
With my second mc I mc'd on my own.
I don't have any advice on what option to take but I know for me it was better to have the d&c rather then seeing and dealing with a natural one.
Hope you are doing ok, it is not a nice position to be in. thinking of you x

Hi Brownie
Thanks for your response/advice. I am so devastated yet trying to stay positive coz I know everything happen for a reason.
I believed that D&C would the best option based on your advice.

Hi Rode, I'm really sorry to see you are going through this. I have had 3 MC's and all were very different, the 1st I discovered at my 12 week scan (I like you hadn't had any bleeding or anything) and had a D&C, like brownie said it is a minor surgery and they put you under. Second time around I MC'ed naturally around 6 or 7 weeks. Third time I had a bit of minor bleeding at 10 weeks had a scan and discovered bubs was no longer with us, this time around I opted to try and wait for a natural MC, and took some herbs I got from a naturopath, it took 10 days of taking the herbs for the MC to happen so quite a waiting game. The bonus with a D&C is you at least know when it is going to happen so it is alot easier to fit around work etc rather than just sitting waiting for something to happen. The third time I was off work for the xmas hols so I did have the time to wait around and relax otherwise my decision might of been different. I hope that helps a bit, just remember if you are unsure about anything don't be afraid to ask questions.
