I am up to baby number three, and have had terrible tearing and needed epesiotomys both times, I'm hoping to avoid it this time, but not confident, I have very quick births and dialate internally, but have to time for my body to externally prepare, I remember reading about some creams and stuff designed to help prepare the perenium for birth, think they kind of softened and conditioned the skin, I mentally filed this info, but can't find it in my brain.. | Have you tried the massaging technique that is often mentioned? I think its something that you need to do months ahead. I don't think its proven to work or not but I'm definately willing to try anything. |

Weleda do a massage oil to help prepare the perineum for childbirth.
