Since hitting 25 weeks, I've started having hideous upper back pain between my shoulder blades.
It normally happens overnight and I wake up in massive pain (it's painful to breathe, bend over, move my arms). It eases off throughout the day and a hot water bottle does help a bit.
According to 'Dr Google', the pain is likely to be caused by my ribs expanding and pressing into a nerve.
I'm definitely arranging for a physio appointment to have it looked at, but has anyone else had this?
I'd love some advice/tips about what can help. Thanks heaps!

This doesn't sound good MrsJCD! I had crazy back pain (and slightly torn side ab muscles!) that came and went when UTD with Ferg. I went to acupuncture for some other things, and added that into my treatment and it helped a little.
Best advice: nightly back rubs/massages from DH!

He hee, great excuse for a massage!
It seems to have eased off the past two nights, but I've booked in with my physio for next week to have it looked at. I definitely don't want it to get any worse!
I think it's a timely reminder to improve my posture as well!

Hey MrsJCD,
I have been visiting an osteopath that specialises in pregnancy and the relief from between the shoulder blades has been amazing. A physio should show you some good stretches too. Best of luck.
