Has anyone had one of these? I'm booked in for one in a couple of weeks and was interested to hear your stories of if you have had one, how close to ovulation you had, did you try that cycle, any success stories etc. not to keen to hear any horror stories please! But it sounds like not too traumatic of a procedure?
I understand its mainly used for people with endo but I'm doing it as my naturopath has had success with it appearing to suppress the antibodies I have that have been attacking my fetus's and causing MC's. Anyone heard of that?
Thanks,
PB

Hey Pepe

I had one - think it was d9 of cycle (so that we'd get a ovualtion in while it was still fresh on d14).

Not had much luck - but *only* 3 cycles since (inlc the first one) and it's supposed to be within 6 months.(for me its mild endo and unexplained IF). But friends who have had them had luck on first and third cycle...

It was no worse that a smear combined with some period-pain like cramping. Neil Johnson did mine and he was lovely - and so was his nurse.

Good luck - not long now for you!!!

Hi Sag76,
Thanks so much for replying! Yes the lovely Neil is my specialist too. I'm booked for tues morning which will be day 8 for me (from memory) and we'll be trying day 10 onwards as I generally ovulate on day 13. Exciting indeed. It's amazing he got me I as I only saw him on thurs night, Mon is Labour day, and he's booked solid Wed and away Thu & Fri in Aussie! He shuffled some appointments and got me in.
I'm glad to hear that it shouldn't be painful, not that it would stop this determined woman, but nice to know!
Jeepers the countdown is on for us which is such a relief after not being able to try for 6mths!

I had this treatment today so fingers crossed it will help us get that sticky baby.
If anyone is reading this thread and wants more info about it, google Neil Johnson lipiodol. Lots of ladies over at 'everybody' forum have talked about the in the past & had some good success with it.
