Hello, i am looking for a good place to have my 20 week ultrasound scan in Hamilton. I really wanted to have a 3D scan (thinking it would show more detail) as i want to find the gender of our baby at this scan but apparently they don’t do these until 28weeks! So has anyone had some really good experiences with centres in Hamilton and maybe names of the Sonographer that you dealt with?
Many thanks

I've found all the places much the same. I'm not sure who does 3D scans, sorry, hopefully someone else can answer.
One thing I can help with - I don't think you're more likely to be able to find out the sex with a 3D scan. I think it's either a matter of Bubs cooperating or not cooperating

I used Hamilton Radiology in Ham East for all of my scans and they were really lovely, each and every time. I agree with Hopes, it's more to do with bubs being in the right position.
All the best!

Hi there, I have had all my scans at Hamilton Radiology (at various branches around the city) and they were all great experiences. A standard 2D scan at 20 weeks will tell you the baby's gender - if it decides to co-operate.
I just had a 3D/4D scan at 29 weeks at Hamilton Radiology's main branch at Anglesea Clinic which was pricey, but absolutely amazing. There is only a small window in which they can perform this scan (about 28-32 weeks) as the amniotic fluid needs to be plentiful to get a good picture.
As for the sonographer, you get whoever is on that day. Good luck!

I believe they only do the 4D scans at the town branch so if you ring them Im sure they'll let you know how much it costs.
