Ive not experiences IVF, but Im coealic and eat Gluten free, alot of research lately has shown that a GF diet is good for those who have had trouble conceiving. If you google this you will find lots of articles on it. ANyway
thought it may be of interest.
For the record I eat Gluten free and have conceived unplanned the first time and in the first month of trying with the 2nd & 3rd so have no idea if this is cos this style of eating is good for conceiving or if Im just lucky. But I wanted to share the information out on the web about GF & conceiving incase it is something that interests you.

If only gluten free worked for me, I've been g/f for 10 years and had primary and now secondary infertility. I'd be hesitant to go g/f if you don't have a medical reason to; from what I understand the major factor with it is that it reduces fertility if you have undiagnosed coeliac disease.
Anyway, we are leading up to IVF shortly too. We have been advised to cut out caffeine and alcohol. Also to eat an antioxidant rich diet (so lots of fruits and vege). Regular exercise is important too. Basically just a healthy lifestyle. DH is on menevit and CoQ10 (antioxidant), and I'm taking folic acid, a prenatal vitamin, zinc, fish oil (which is meant to help with implantation), vitamin c and CoQ10.
I hope that helps.

Removing caffiene was the trick for me. So no coffee, coke, mountain dews, energy drinks, chocolate....
I was on a low GI diet, so had no sugar either which helped lose the kgs.....but it wasn't till I dropped the caffeine that I finally conceived via fertility treatments, and naturally with number 2.
Good luck

Hi Sasha, good luck with your IVF cycle. I have just conceived after IVF cycle number 2 and agree with above that cutting out caffeine and alcohol is a good idea. I didn't cut it out completely, but drastically reduced my intake in the months prior and completely cut out from the month before.
If does also help with a bit of weight loss. I wasn't over weight when we started IVF but was a kilo or two lighter than usual and was feeling really good and healthy in myself.
Fingers crossed for you for a successful treatment in August.
