So I have a question. I'm 9 weeks along and the GP yesterday said my fundal height was 16cm!! He commented on how unusual it was to be able to feel it so high so early. Anyhow, I went for another scan to check my dates which are right (two scans now which are both along the same lines as my LMP).
Just wondering if anyone has had this or if I should be concerned?

Sorry my mw's (past and present) didn't start measuring fundal height until around 30 weeks. That does seem a bit early tho, but again it could just be the mw's I've had/have do them later?

Same as Jacobsmumma, I see my mw tomorrow and she hasn't actually measured me yet - pretty sure it's always been in the 3rd trimester that they get the measuring tape out.
Is your GP an LMC? I know there are a *few* around, but if not, I'd talk to your LMC about it before getting too concerned

I remember that last time they could feel mine from very early on too. They commented at the time that it was likely because I am quite petite, and so easy to palpate the uterus, where as it's more typically a bit more buried (for want of a better term). I don't think it meant anything as such.

Thanks for the advice guys. No I have a midwife, I just haven't seen her yet. I went to the GP because I was worried my symptoms had eased and he checked my tummy and was concerned I may have my dates wrong.
Got a text from my midwife saying the scan results were perfect so I guess it's nothing to be worried about. I certainly feel "bigger" this time - esp. as I'd lost quite a bit of weight around my middle just before getting pregnant.
