I make my own yoghurt in one of the Easiyo yoghurt makers, with the sachets from the supermarket. Does anyone know whether or not I should or shouldn't be eating this when I get UTD?

Don't see why you wouldn't be able to.

I was wondering because it sits on the bench (in hot water) for 8-12hrs when it's setting, then goes in the fridge once it's set.

The yoghurt cultures that grow in those 8-12 hours out compete anything that would be growing in there. It's pretty unlikely you'd get food poisoning from it.
