Sorry Mtjt, I didn't want to read and run... but I don't know anything about it! Fingers and toes crossed that you get some good news and that you can go on to have a beautiful precious healthy normal baby.
HUGS.

Hi mtjt.
I have this. I'm heterozygous for the MTHFR C677T mutation. This means I inherited it from one parent. This was one of a few tests ordered by my herbalist. I took extra folate and also later asprin. I think I had some other tests done, possibly for Vitamin B6 and 12 and homocystiene. I might follow these up, more for general health reasons, as from what I can remember from my research MTHFR can increase chances of blood clots.
My specialist for this pregnancy has recommended I carry on with asprin and as well as after I give birth as I could be more prone to blood clots then.
I started taking the asprin a month before our successful TER and the month of. We'll never know if it made a difference. Most of the research I read indicated the MTHFR gene was linked more to miscarriages rather than our situation which was not getting a BFP at all.
I'd recommend doing lots of research so you're schooled up on it and you're not just relying on the doctor. I can't remember a lot about it now, unfortunately.

Dr Beer's book 'Is Your Body Baby Friendly' is very informative on this topic.
