Hello girls

Anyone have any thoughts on this? We are now considering once again to look seriously at Repromed Akl - Dr Guy Gudex to do an antagonist cycle rather than go back to FAH once again...

Bit nervous as dont really know much about repromed but have been impressed so far with our discussions with Dr gudex. He has some good ideas and seem to be up with the latest research in fert etc.

Can anyone comment on their experiences with either much appreciated.

My opinion is that the Drs in Hamilton are really good, but the nurses / admin are pretty shoddy. I was very happy with the decisions my Dr (Dr Ravikanti) made about my care, but the other staff often tended to make what was a tough time even harder. Stuff like forgetting to call back, or insisting that I had to wait a loooong time to start taking provera when I knew that there was no way in hell AF was just going to turn up since I hadn't ovulated that cycle, and it was a waste of time waiting. I had to get quite grumpy to get them to agree to even ask the Dr about that, who straight away agreed with me and gave me a script

In my case, I was happy with the care I was getting, just aware I had to live with some not-quite-up-there customer service, and know my cycle/body enough to get a little stroppy if need be. I wouldn't have gone to the effort of going to a clinic an hour or so away. But I can see why you might... your call really.

I have done monitored clomid cycles through FA in Hamilton. I also have doubts around their customer service provided by the nurses, I don't know if it's just that we weren't spending as much money, or what, but they often didn't call back when you left messages for them. Left messages over several days and finally got a call back. My specialist is good, though pushes the private treatment heavily, and has the "all guns blazing" approach, because they earn more money that way.

I understand that Repromed have a satellite clinic in Hamilton now. Not sure if it's better to wait till they're down for their clinic times, or travel to Akl.

Also, have a look at Fertility Plus in Akl. They're half the price of FA for private treatment. Not sure about the service provided as I haven't used them.

thanks girls for your responses. DH is keen to check out repromed (we did have appoint with them some time back but decided to stick with FAH) to see what they can offer as we have got NOWHERE with FAH. I

I had heard of some other couples not happy with FAH and gone elsewhere and got results! - this was from my accupuncturist so would really like to know more about that....

As far as im concerned FAH have been helpful and good on occasions but seem to rush you thru the scans etc and not have a chance to ask questions then. Lakshmi has been our FS also and I do like her but again would be good to have a 2nd opinion about our case.

I am waiting on my AMH test results - hope to have them this coming week and praying that i still got good eggs left!!

OMH turning 40 sux - particularly when you dont have that bundle of joy/s that you always dreamed you would have by then.. I have to keep reminding myself theirs quite a few girls still having babies at my age.
