Hi there,
Have any of you taken your kids skiing? I am taking Miss 3 for a day at the snow in a few weeks, and am wanting to get her on some little skis for a few runs.
I know all the usual stuff about keeping it relaxed, stopping lots and just going with the flow, but am wanting some pointers on the actual skiing bit!
I've been skiing in various countries around the world since I was 5, and although no where near professional status, am confident in my ability, so that's not a problem.
Anyone got any ideas?
I've seen some parents parking their kids between their own skis, and doing it like that...??

It'll depend on her leg strength. Alia just got sh*tty with me doing that (between the legs) basically I just chased her & picked her up when she fell, she was super confident though.
I did cross the straps of my pole around the basket of the other, put that under her arms & around her torso loosely & just ran behind her to start with.
She also got really bored with a lesson that I put her in around 4 as well lol
Don't be surprised if she doesn't last for more than a couple of runs. Pretty tiring for little legs.

We had some success this year, at 3 and a half! My other half is a boarder and so I gave him some pointers [I had the baby in the front pack so strictly observing only this year!]
He just showed her the correct posture and let her go. He ran along side her and she did airplane arms. He just had to catch her when she started leaning backwards! She had a great time.
I think that might be easier than skiing with them in front at this stage, as they are pretty small. You can try both, see how it goes.
Enjoy it!

Thanks for the suggestions!
I'm really looking forward to trying them out ;)
