My 16 month has been sick on and off pretty much this entire year so far, and at the same time (or because?) has become incredibly clingy and only wants mummy. For example, if my hubby goes to him in the night he starts crying harder and calls out for me. He wants me to carry him, me to pick him up, me to do pretty much everything. I don't mind, and want him to feel secure, but not sure where the line is between helping him and eventually hindering him? I assume this is just a phase. What do you do?

Also, he has started waking for milk, around the middle of the night and early in the morning (5.30am), but eating like a horse during the day too. I am thinking growth spurt? Do they still get these???

Not sure about the growth spurt, but probably very likely.
But as far as the clingyness, DS is exactly the sane, only ever wants me and spends most of his days wanting to be held. It can be exhausting, but I'm sure it won't last forever and just shows how much they love and crave you

My daughter is the same age and has been going through a clingy phase for the last few months (hard work when I'm pregnant again). I still make boyfriend do morning routine and bath at night though, no matter the drama because I just needed a break. She is coming out of it now though finally. Hope your little one does too.

Also recently she has had periods of eating as much as me in a day (!!) so I do think they still have growth spurts at this age.
