Warning... a little TMI about the state of my digestive system!
I've definitely had worse morning sickness this time round than I did with Jacob, and there have been a few times when I've thought "this can't be MS, I must have food poisoning", but have concluded after the fact that it probably was just the baby
However, I've had a particularly rough afternoon, and - to use the lovely descriptive phrase - it's got me going at both ends and feeling like a train wreck. I don't like to venture more than 3m away from the loo . Does that ever happen with MS? Or have I got some tummy bug? I'm dead scared of getting food poisoning because of the baby - although I've been super-careful about what I eat, I've never heard of MS having quite this effect on you?? Any ideas?

I would suggest calling your mw or popping off to the GP just to be on the safe side. I remember having a tummy bug when pg with Ben that had be going at both ends.
Although what have you been eating? I realised that the 1/3-1/2 of a kiwifruit that I had been eating was causing me to go alot, and that was coupled with the tail end of my ms. So maybe the 2 ends aren't quite related??
Hope you are feeling better soon

i had this in my first trimester anytime i ate anything sweet, especially with chocolate - once i stayed away from sugary foods returned to normal ms
but definitely check with your LMC as they will want to check you are not dehydrated

I picked up 2 tummy bugs while I was preggers with Zac, the first one at 4 weeks (was positive that the little bean wouldn't survive all that puking and pooing lol) and again at 12 weeks. I don't normally get them so assumed my immune system wasn't working the best. My sister (lives in Tamahere) has been crook this past week with a bug so it's obviously going around ATM? I wouldn't think MS would give you the runs but I also found certain foods wouldn't agree with me and would go straight through me. Hope you feel better soon

Well, things are looking up, the runs at least have gone this morning (then again, they should be, there should be nothing in there! At least there's nothing to throw up either!) Hopefully it was a nice short-lived thing, as last night was rather not much fun! I think it must have been more than just MS, since I haven't had that before - hopefully the all the tummy upsets didn't disturb the bubby.
