I was lucky and have only had 2 nasty ones during this pregnancy. I hid in a dark room with a cold (or really hot) flannel on my forehead and back of my neck.
I used Maxalon for the unbearable ones. It's class B for use during pregnancy, which means something like; it's a relatively new drug, hasn't been tested on pregnant women, but the ones who have taken it haven't had any issues.

How is your blood pressure?

That sounds terrible. I have been suffering from nasty headaches 3 o4 4 times a week for the last 5 or so weeks (am 15 weeks) and all I can suggest is a dark room too. It sucks!

Ive had 3 migraines this pregnant. Its really hard having a toddler because i just cant function and DD has had to go to MIL for the day.

Ive taken codeine which was prescribed from the doctor and the pharmacist said its fine to take. It didnt make the migraine go but just turned it into a bad headache. But at least i could get out of bed.

Panadol, Panadiene, Codiene is ok to take but of course not on a regular basis. I get headaches weekly quite bad but wont take anything other than panadol unless i get a migraine, because i want something to work then.

Go see you GP, there could be reasons you are getting them

I suffered through the second trimester last time, and as the really bad headaches have come back just before TTC this time, I started having accupuncture again as that's what helped the first time around. The problem with codeine etc is that it doesn't address the cause, and I found a couple of sessions was just enough to stop not only the migraines, but headaches stopped for months as well.
Also try a wheatpack on the back of your neck along with the cold pack on the forehead. My doctor reckoned it helped with tension and I have to admit it did seem to help.

Thanks ladies I was thinking nothing was suitable but knowing if it is really bad there is something to turn too that makes me have some options. I had the awful blinding pain from base of neck to behind the eyes, light sensitive the works and the constant need to vomit which could be either the Migraine or ms.

I normally get a migraine with rise in hormones in my cycle and can usually deal to it with strong meds but its been so long since I was last preg and I cant remember if anything was safe to take. im sure the migraine is worse this time around or I ahve just forgotten the pain lol

Chickion, Bp low causing dizzy spells and stars..barrel of fun here
Jano1 it sure does sux
Sms I defitnely think I should go incase it happens again now its a dull ache but just eased down to a headache, the hiding in the darkroom helping
Itchyfeet, I had accupunture for MS previously I might look into it for pregnancy
High9 so hard to fight  the pain I think that is what I was trying to do today but it just made it all so worse.... heres to no migraines for any of us girls!!

Luckily with my first pregnancy I pretty much just slept a lot through them!

I have however only had about 3 or 4 since my DD was born just over a year ago... I used to get them quite a lot before she was born/conceived.

Kels, my BP was really low too during the early days and that's when I had the migraines. Eating black licorice and salty snacks can help with the BP and hopefully it helps with the migraines.

Thanks Chickoin I must be suffering the same type of Migraines as you. I tried some panadol today Lu and spent the day in a dark room hiding fromt he light. I try and go to work this morning and should have just stayed home. I have a weekend clinic tomorrow so crossing my fingers my day in bed will get me through
