Making a bacon and egg pie for dinner. I love it cold. Do you ladies think it would be alright to make it this arvo, put it in the fridge and have it for dinner?
Or should I make it later and have it piping hot (which would not be so nice in this hot Perth weather!).
TIA

I would eat it cold. Especially as you have made it yourself and refrigerated it straight away.

I think the concern with that sort of thing is when you get them from Deli's and you dont know how long they have been there or how they have been stored.

Intrepret as you will. I think it is probably important to only eat it cold, or hot through. Not warm.

The food safety guidelines say:
-leftover hot food should be put in the
fridge as soon as it has stopped steaming;
hot food will cool more quickly if put into
a shallow dish
• only store leftovers or cooked food in the
fridge for two days – if it is not used by
then, throw it out
• leftovers must be reheated until steaming hot
and must not be reheated more than once.
-Eat foods freshly cooked or promptly refrigerate and use with in 12 hours.

Yum Amby!

I haven't been eating leftovers.. But maybe I will now! Sometimes it seems such an effort to make lunch fresh every day
