Hi ladies

I am only 4w5d pregnant with number 2 and injured my foot and ankle yesterday! I went to the Dr and she said she wouldnt xray it but to come back friday and have another look at it and re-assess the situation then...

I have rung my obstatrician and they said its fine to have an xray and I have had a look on the internet and pretty much says as long as you tell them and since its the foot should be ok....but im still unsure?

the Dr I am seeiing tomorrow as a diploma in obstetrics so I know Im in good hands so will see what he says....

has anyone had xrays during preganancy? have any advice?

Thanks!

I'm not sure...

Lily had to have a hip Xray and before I could go in they asked if I was UTD and asked if I had anyone else who could go in if I was.

I had a chest x-ray when I was 6 months pregnant to check for a blood clot. You'd think the lead apron over your tummy would be enough to let you get an x-ray on your foot!

I had an xray on my left foot when I was about 18 weeks. I'd massively stubbed my big toe and the main joint to the foot had swollen up and I couldn't walk. The radiographer was wary of the x-ray and confirmed it with the doctor but in the end I just wore 2 (yes TWO) lead aprons.
Turned out it was nothing but a massive bruise lol, but it is definately possible.
