Hey all, just a quick question.
We are going away tonight to a lovely hotel and we have a spa bath in our suite... I have been really looking forward to having a decent bath for a long tie but I know its bad to raise your body temperature alot when your pregnant, should I not have one at all?? or just be careful with how hot the bath is??? Any ideas??

Just don't have it too hot. I was told around 34-35degrees I think.
However I spa'd at about 37weeks at 40degrees for an hour or so .. woops
Just use your own judgment and if you start getting too hot, get out
Well, that's what I'd do lol but I'm possibly not a great example.
Enjoy your weekend away

I've been going to the hot spa's about monthly because its sooooo good on your back. I generally just stay in the 36 degree one though. I'd just be careful that its not steaming hot (you know, have a luke-warm bath ) and if you start feeling hot get out.

I have got one of those little themometres & may sound nerdy but i just check it not over th at before i get in..

Spa baths are fine, just make sure the temp isn't too hot. Basically if it's too hot yet bareable to get in - it's too hot, or if your skin goes pink quickly...
You could also get a baby bath duck thermometer to use, you'll be quite surprised at how hot you can have a baby bath!

you should be fine. according to my midwife you will start feeling it before the baby does. just make sure you have a bottle of water (or something nicer) with you as it is really easy to get dehydrated.
