My DD is 18 months and showing all the signs of being ready to toilet train - including asking to use the potty and trying to change her own nappy when it is soiled. She is also saying potty before she does number twos (possibly also number ones, but I am less sure of this). She was an early walker and talks in short sentences.

She is very little though - only 72cms and 8kg. Too small for pull ups and she has little padding and seems to find the potty a bit uncomfortable and her lack of height means she is unsteady on the toilet, even with a toilet insert.

Does anyone have any tips?   Can anyone recommend a comfortable looking, small potty?

Not on the potty but you could try the new treasures nappy pants, like pull ups and made in smaller sizes - theres a crawler one so 6-11kgs or something.

You can get training pants from Baby Factory and similar shops, or search online for ones made by WAHMs. They come in pretty small sizes.
