Just a random post but one I thought some might find interesting.

Those who know me from the 'Charting' threads will remember that I have had many cycles of using Heparin as part of MTHFR/NKC treatments to try to stop multiple miscarriages.

I usually take Elevit and folic acid (5mg, prescribed). I was taking it religiously pre-pregnancy, and during pregnancy, as well as carrying on post-miscarriage.

I used to have a stomach that was so black and blue from the needles causing bruising and haemotomas that after 12 weeks it was hurting to inject, and I had no room left to do so. I was almost having to switch to my leg for injecting, or get hubby to inject my botty!

3 months ago I switched to Blackmore's Pre-Conception - because on doing some reading, I cannot see how one multi-vitamin (Elevit) can support pre, during, and post pregnancy. Our bodies need different vitamins at different times - hence why I am now taking a Pre-Conception supplement.

I have supplemented this with a few other 'goodies', still with folic acid, but also adding in Vitamin E and C, and Omega 3.

I am absolutely convinced that it is the E, C, O3, and Blackmore's Pre-Conception that has helped me not bruise AT ALL. I have been injecting now for 2 weeks and I am still comfortable and non-bruised.

I know heparin is a blood thinner and maybe just maybe this is why I was bruising, but a needle is a needle, right?

Anyway, just an observation...
