I dont know if that title made sense exactly...

I meant that some people talk about getting the s** kicked out of them, whereas mine seems pretty laxed out in there. As i get further on he seems to make leisurely movents around the womb but none of the insane wiggling i've heard others talk about.

Tonight though, he's gone mad! He just kicked my side so hard it went out in a peak like a tent pole under my skin. Freaky. He's really like a cat or an octopus in a bag at the moment, not a bad thing but just not in character!

What do you think he's up to? Trying to bust out any way possible? (joking..)

Do you have a lax baby or a frantic octopus baby or does it vary?

I hear some babies go nuts in the bath - what other things set your fetus wiggling?

And my most hopeful question of all - if he's calm, cruisy and casual in the womb is he likely to be calm, crusiy and casual on the outside? (i know...i know...not likely. But i live in hope!)

Some say that it's the case - cruisy baby inside = cruisy baby outside. And the most active time inside will correspond to their most active time outside. My girls were both pretty cruisy inside, and are both pretty cruisy outside as well. Whether that's just coincidence or not, I don't know though!

I've also heard that if i'm active on my feet (rocking baby to sleep in the womb, as it were) he will need a lot of rocking on the outside as well because he's used to it. Maybe he's quiet because i was on my feet ALL the time for work, constantly running around.

Hmmm, hows this for a random question thread

DS was a super active baby in the womb. I mean, my tummy was pummelled and you could actually see it moving through my clothes. And when he was born he was really active and strong (he could roll over at 2 weeks!).
This baby is much more relaxed. I have movements, but it is not like the constant kicking and punching I had with the last pregnancy. I was really concerned as I wondered if it was normal, so I asked my midwife and she said that all babies are different and as long as I am having regular movements that is fine. She also said it depends on the position of the baby. If you baby is posterier then you feel the movements much more as they are around the front.

My little one is never constant. Monday it seemed like she was busy all day but yesterday I hardly felt her at all then come the evening she was doing a lot of that insane wriggling, even had a stretch, which meant a nice little poke in my ribs as I was sitting at the time.

With DS I found that he got more active when I was surronded by lots of people talking, and this one seems to like music and DS laughing.

my baby has been battering my insides since the early days.. could feel her before 12 weeks, shes going to keep us on our toes i'm sure!

she definately has patterns though and thank goodness it doesnt include being awake all night, she is more active when me and partner are in bed talking in the evenings, by more active i mean she rolls around a lot more as well as punching and kicking, during the day its occasional rolls and a lot of poking about in there..

shes not one of those babies that gets lulled by me walking, i get kicked when sitting, walking driving anything hehe..

Lily varied inside, she'd have moments of insane movement and then would be quiet for a whole day and then the next day - completely psycho!

This one varies... quiet one minute, then massive jabs the next... usually brought on by Jae making noise (babbling, squealing, crying etc) or sitting at the computer... From memory Jae used to put up a fight every time i drove the car... which was every day since I was working f/time lol! She loves being in the car now, and it often puts her to sleep... so I'd say whatever lulls them on the inside doesnt necessarily mean it will lull them on the outside...

Oh and Jae would go nuts around 3pm almost daily while inside (could set the friggen clock by her!) yet these days she tends to be sleeping around that time.... it varies from baby to baby I guess...

number one was mega active,I used to be able to grab her foot when she kicked it out the side, and in the bath it was like a scene from Aliens ,I can't remember how active she was after she was born tho

Number two , was much more relaxed in the womb and the bath seemed to calm him down more, hes been pretty chillaxed from day one tho now that hes walking hes a lot more active

This one so far is a mixture of the two .....
