Hey Yall... looking for a bit of support!
Hugs to you Bec, you need a bloodtest to be sure, a lot of women don't feel preggers early on, a scan is the best way to go.

I had my 1st scan yest, an 11.30am appoint, which dragged out to 4.30pm ... have more tests on Monday - so basically - she couldn't see anything in my womb, and 'suspected' ectopic pregnancy - I was sent to the hospital for more bloodtests which turned out not to be very helpful at all (except the BHCG was too low for ectopic as of yet)

SOOOOO Either the pregnancy is very very early and not very detectable - and the 'mass' the ultrasound tech. saw was a cyst (so my dr says) - or I'm going to have a miscarriage because of the low levels ... or the BHCG levels will go up dramatically by Monday and it prob will be ectopic...

way to go for first pregnancy! My mum always said I never do things in halves! I'm ok at the moment, there is nothing much i can do - just so early that i haven't told friends etc - so don't really have a lot of support!

I do not have any symptoms of ectopic, no pain, no bleeding - nothing! So FINGERS CROSSED!!!!!

Just really needed to get it off my chest and any support would be great - thanks!

Good luck Lexiloo, hopefully it's just too early.

I know this may not help much, but sometimes with an ectopic, there are no obvious symptoms early on.

thanks to you both for the messages, I do know there aren't any symptoms, just a waiting game... my HCG levels are low, so there is a chance that it isn't...we'll see on Monday!

If its Palmy hospital you went to its interesting that they have told you the opposite to what they told me when I had an ectopic. They said that hcg levels can go any way. They can either be very low, follow a normal path or go sky high. But then I also had one doc at palmy who told me that even though I had a confirmed ectopic that I should just go home and see what happens and then the next doc said hell no. Idiots!

kebakat - that is very interesting! They have no idea with me as of yet, see how Monday's tests/scans go...don't have any choice but to wait it out! Disappointing knowing I have life growing inside me - but MAY have to let it go...

Feeling OK, so far. Monday will be a diff story, thanks for the hugs Aroha11 - very kind!

xxx

oh lexiloo - what a very trying time for you.
I've recently had a friend who had an eptopic pregnancy - it was a very hard time emotionally for everyone. She had lots of trouble getting anyone to do anything about it (and lots of issues with different DHB's at the end of the day) - keep persisting with your GP and the hospital - esp if your HCG is not going down. Can I ask if you had an internal scan?

And if you have any pain please please please just go to A&E and demand attention.

Yeah I'm on 'pain' watch, have had absolutely none, so hoping for it to just be early - will keep you posted this arvo - have more bloods/scans this morning, I have been preparing myself all weekend, hoping for the best, expecting the worst.... I've actually been ok!

I had an internal scan, after the first showed nothing, will prob just have straight internal today.

Everyone at Palmy hospital have been really really helpful and informative, kind and caring too - nice bunch of DRs and nurses there - can't say much for the Palms...!

thanks everyone! Had bloods and DR appoint today - scans Fri - The DR said he believes there is nothing to worry about, and I am two weeks earlier I originally thought, the BHCG levels are at a good level, he did mention, if i feel pain, or have any worries to come straight back in...

SO for now, normal very early pregnancy !

Thanks all for the love / hugs and support, will keep in touch on Friday!
