Hi,
I have a question regarding bra's or more specifically how much larger your breasts get when you start breast-feeding.

I am now 21 weeks and have gone from a size B cup to a DD. So out of necessity I went and got a couple of new bra's. Is it likely that my breasts are going to get bigger again once my milk comes in and will need to get re-fitted again? Or can I go splurge out on a couple more nice bra's now rather than make do for the next couple of months?

Thanks

Mine didn't really grow during pregnancy, unless you count small B cup to large B cup huge. Anyway when my milk came in I was DD for about the first 2 months then went to a D by 3 months, C by 4 months and now 7 months am back to a large B/small C (still BFing.)

So it can change from person to person, I would just wait and see what happens personally (that's what I did) I didn't get a bra fitted until 1 week after the birth and then I just went and got the next size down as I got smaller. I found BF singlets better though in the first few months, esp when you are just at home.

I would wait, my boobs are still growing now, and did with my last pregnancy too.

and then they became even more humungous when my milk came in.

I grew from C to E/F during pregnancy and depending on how much milk is in there, I'm still E/F size. But I didn't get any engorgement as my milk came in, they just stayed much the same size. Some days now though they are rather smaller but thats cause my baby is getting older and the supply is settling down.

I also live(d) in breastfeeding singlets, I found them rather wonderful. They are especially good in the colder months as it is another layer.

Thanks for the advice. Now to change focus from bras to breastfeeding singlets. I hadn't even thought of this as an option.

They give you gentle support but don't really need sizing, just pick small medium large XL etc

By the sounds of it Large would prolly be most comfy for you.

im not very far along and my breasts are growing fast. a friend once told me... buy a strapless bra with a too bigger cup size. eventualy your breast swill fill the cup and you can just buy longer adjustable shoulder straps and get a bra extension clip for the back untill your ready to buy your perfect fit maternity bra. it worked for her
