Hi, OK this may be a silly question .......

My 13mth old has quite long hair - below her shoulders already (the longest bits are down by her shoulder blades) so when I wash it at night I have to put her to bed with wet hair. I would hate to go to bed with wet hair myself, especially in winter!

So I'm just wondering what others do? Do you use a hairdryer on toddlers hair? Or just towel dry and put them to bed with it wet? Or wash it in the morning? I'm not going to bath her in the morning as I work 3 mornings and we are off early to things a couple of other days, and its part of her bedtime routine (bath, bottle, bed). so any ideas on how to dry it quickly? thanks.

If i wash dds hair at night time i will dry it really well with the towel, she hates it but i dont want her going to bed with wet hair,

By the time i have dress her & let her run around for 5-10 minutes before putting her into bed its generally dry. For some reason hers doesnt take ages to dry like mine would, her hair is thick & long too.

Also maybe wash it when she is first in the bath, then dry it with towel, then let her play some more, so its already had a good drying off.

I remember as a kid and I remember being told as a baby they would towel dry my hair as best as they could, brush it and then blow dry the rest.

We use a hairdryer for both our girls but didn't start until a bit later as neither had much hair we made a bit of a game out of it to start with - dry Mummy's hair, dry Amy's hair, dry Daddy's hair, dry Teddy .....

It also helped when my Mum found a little pink hairdryer at Farmers

We bath at night and use the hairdryer too, but on the low setting. She brushes her teeth while we dry her hair - keeps her mind off it!

Oh cool, thanks guys!! I will have to try the hairdryer. She has as much hair as most 2 year olds already ... which is lovely but a pain to dry!
