What do you do when your toddler is grumpy, for no apparent reason and just doesn't wanna be helped? Be nice to have some ideas when Daniel is in a foul mood like he is right now!

Oh good topic we are having a grumpy stage each day at the moment. I kind of cheat and put him in the car and go for a drive, he grumps for the first 5mins and then enjoys the ride.

I will be watching this with interest as I seem to end up with a grumpy boy for the first few days DH goes back to work. This has been our first time that he has noticed (DH's second shift round) so I have just been doing what I can. Going outside to water the lawn normally works or even just going outside (Alex can only go to a little bit of outside on the deck at the mo so getting to go outside outside is still a novelty)

eta: Congrats on the pregnancy Kebakat!

Leave them too it. When these boys grump I walk away and let them deal with themselves and then deal with the mess later.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Congrats on your preg! How exciting for you.

I tend to put the TV on for abou 15 mins and feed and water him while he watches and then he snaps out of it.

similar to what Peanut does - but it is mostly about giving her some space which is what she wants. It is like she needs some time to digest/process all the stuff that she does during the week.

Also loving the new ticker . All the best for a H&H pg.

I have 2 strategies. One is we sit on the couch and cuddle with a snack and the other is to do his fav things like the swing or get pushed in his car.

I ignore him. He has massive paddies and throws himself / things around him onto the floor, but i just get up and leave the room and leave him to it. He's in a paddy right now and is trying to mash his raisins into the floor - jokes on you Thomas, raisins dont mash into wooden floors!
We'll be going to the supermarket soon, he'll scream the whole way there, the whole way round and all the way back, but hey.. what are ya gonna do right?
