Following on from simsams breakfast dodger post....

Well we are still having breakfast problems. TOday I have tried custard and fruit....nope! Smoothies work but then we have arguments about where they are going to be drunk (read spilt) and I'm over that.

I'd not be too bothered about the breakfast if he didnt come home from daycare with most of his lunch intact. They used to phone me to bring more in!!!!! yesterday I noticed he hadnt touched his cake, raisins, cheese, fruit and half his sandwiches. They are now providing morning and afternoon tea so I must ring them and find out how much he has eaten of that.

He also doesnt eat much at dinner....but given the chance (ie when our back is turned) he will help himself to crackers and chippies.....but even on days when he doesnt get in the cupboard he wont eat.

Fruit seems to be about all I can get into him...or pasta.

I'm guessing this is normal?

Having exactly the same problems here at the moment. Ice blocks is all I can get Lauren to eat and she has lost 700gms over the past few weeks due to not eating much.

I am just rolling with it for now, I figure she will eat if she is hungry at some stage. I am wondering if the heat and humidity in Aucks is affecting her, as its getting to me.

She does pick at things, so I am just keeping and eye on her.

I'm in the same boat here. He isn't sleeping well at night and I reckon its cause he's hungry but he wont eat anything. I think it may be due to the fact he's getting six teeth but it is still most difficult.

Ella goes through days of when she hardly eats anything and then other days eats everything I put in front of her.

I think when they hit 2 their appepite(sp?) does decrease (we certainly noticed that), so it can be quite normal.  Also tlike Peachy said the hotter weather could be affecting him.

it was for my lot. fruit and pasta are still guaranteed to be eaten here. i think with this heat it deosnt help either.   eden picks her own breakfast here and it is always rice bubbles. right now she is outside while her sandwich is sitting uneaten on the table.

The breakfast dodging isnt quite so bad now that he doesnt have a morning bottle, some mornings he is really keen on breakfast but other mornings he just picks at it.

Lunch is generally the only "successful" meal, but only because I make it quite snacky - crackers, fruit, little sandwiches etc, so I think it kind of tricks him into eating it. Dinner is a bit hit n miss, a lot of it goes un-eaten, but he picks at it. He is very quick to tell us if he is hungry, but he always asks for musli bars, cookies etc, but he never gets them. If he is really pestering then we generally make him a marmite sandwich.

I think its just a phase - at least I hope it is!
