i have a nearly 16 month old who has always been a great sleeper. she went down without a peep. but the last few days have been a nightmare.... here's the back story!
she kept waking up with cold, blue hands and feet so i went to my G.P and he said 'some people are just like that'....but my mind was not at ease so i went to my osteopath/chiroptactor thinking maybe it was something to do with her back lying down, as it only happened after lying down for sleeps.
he did a lot massage and adjustment and has seemed to help so far (this was on fri and mon just been) BUT ever since monday morning , everytime it's time for a sleep and i put her in her cot she SCREAMS... which is a complete 180 from her normal sleep loving self. monday night i the only way she would sleep was on me sitting up and last night was pretty much the same. which makes me think maybe it hurts when she lies down.
has anyone had similar experiences with sudden aversion to sleep? and was there anything in it? (i.e medical problems or was it just finding their stubborn streak? was it a phase?)
i am at loss where to start. but will be researching and visitng every doctors office until my minds at ease!

I'd be taking her A&E or getting an urgent referral from your GP for the paeds clinic to check her!
Jake did go through phases where he didn't want to sleep when it was nap/bedtime but with the whole hands and feet thing I'd be taking the medical route first.
Hope everything is ok!

Is it possible she might have an ear ache or and ear infection?

Or could the adjustments be her problem? Just the timing of it seems like it could have done something

she had the cold/blue hands and feet thing for a couple of months, but over the past week it hasn't happened again....it's really odd.
the adjustments could be her problem, i have made an apt with a pediotrician and am going back to osteopath next monday.
i went to another doctor today but got the same reponse that it's just a 'phase' and that it could be teething....it really annoys me being treated like i'm 'another over-reacting mother'.grrrrr! but have ruled ear infection out.
fingers crossed we get it sorted soon! thanks for your ideas ladies. :)
