My four year old has been TT with number ones since he was about 2 1/2 but has always refused to do number twos on the toilet!

We are down to the last 3 pull ups and I am currently in the midst of a disagreement with him over me buying some more. Which I am sticking to my guns over!

I have tried bribery...and that doesnt seem to work!

I need some help! I would be really interested to hear what some of you have done to get over this hurdle :-)

We are doing the sticker and lollipop for number 2's in the toilet.

Emma told me bribery with food for number 2's is fine as hey it has to come out some how.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

we did the MAJOR praise for number 2s..clapping and sayign "go Ella you did poos on the toilet" - to point she now claps if she knows we did! eek!!!

and went down each week for her rewards from a Book, or toy "prize" to finally a "marshmellow" and now not anything....it is after all a normal function....

keep it normal as possible and dont tell him off if he misses etc. We stuck to our guns and there was NO reward unless the poos was in the toilet! She learnt pretty quick.

BTW let him do it in his undies...he will soon tire of it...and it is hard to walk with poos hanging down....They learn to run to toilet etc....It took Ella 2 weeks or so of hard out training for number 2s.
