JJ was like that, constantly hiccupping! It was cute to start off with but it gets old real quick huh
It's actually a good sign - means she's practicing her breathing

*puts hand up* same happening over here. It's at LEAST twice a day, but normally more often. No real pattern to it either...

My boy got hiccups all the time while I was pregnant with him. I actually found them quite painful but there is nothing you can do and it is good for them to get them because its there lung getting some exercise.
Actually while I was in labour my boy got the hiccups and now that is a very painful experience so maybe whenever she gets them you could gently rub your bump and tell her now is a good time for hiccups but not when your in labour. lol.

Gabrielle got hiccups three times a day at the same times every day :) It was quite spooky. This baby has just started to get them and I think she had them about 5 times yesterday.
Interestingly Gabrielle continued to get them heaps when she was born but was never upset by them :)

yea my boy gets them too - ALL the frikin time for hours and hours and hours at a time. my OB asked me a couple of weeks ago about hiccups and i said they hardly ever stopped and he told me it was a really good sign :) so as much as they are a pain in the bum its a good thing. bubs will be out soon so not long to put up with them

My DD would get them at least twice a day, only little ones though that I would only feel if I was sitting. It is a good sign, I didn't really mind them and when her movements slowed as she neared due date I began to appreciate them as I knew she was okay in there.. She still gets them now

from a book I have
" before you start holding a paper bag over your belly you should know that hiccups DONT cause the same discomfort in babies (in or out of the uterus ) as they do in adults, , even when they last for 20 minutes or more .So just relax and enjoy this little entertainment from within "
Has your baby been doing them twice a day throughout most of your pregnancy or only just started ?

Jake got hiccups all the time, I hated it.. still makes me shudder thinking about it.
At one point during induction I had the monitor on, he got the hiccups for 45 minutes!!!!! The poor midwife had to wait for the hiccups to pass as his heart rate went up with them and she had to make sure it was the hiccups and nothing else.
He is quite a hiccupy baby too. At least once a day, he doesnt mind them though...
Eeek Karen, 4 weeks to go!!!!

nah , im mean , once she was out and doing it, and i didnt have to feel it , I thought it was funny , but as my book says it doesnt cause them the same discomfort as it does us, but if its worrying you , best thing for it , is a breast feed .
C hiccuped all the time , but the little toe rag was still late by 8 days , sorry !

I know Karen, I couldnt quite believe my own ears when I said it out loud!
Its amazing how quickly those hormones make you forget
But dont worry, I wont be jumping DH any time soon! We will discuss it again after Jakes first birthday.
I cant wait to find out what you have called your little girl!!!!! PM your email address and I will send you some photo's of our little man. I cant be bothered with photobucket at the moment.
