Just really wondering if anyone else has the same problem as us & has any tips...
Liam has been waking up to 10x in the night & when we go in he's sitting up. We lie him back down & he goes straight back to sleep. He definitely knows how to lie back down from sitting but he's probably half asleep & gets all confused . It's not a huge problem because 9/10 he goes straight back to sleep but it can be a little annoying when we're getting up so often... (well mostly DH is if the truth be told!).
We used to use a safety sleep but he eventually learnt how to undo it & would twist around in it so not really keen to break it out again.
is this "normal"??

i assume it is normal as E does it thought mostly before we go to bed at night... he does sit up looking for his dummy in the night sometimes(down side of cot).. so yes sounds normal!:)

Definately normal, its kind of like sleep walking, Dom did it heaps but seems to have mostly grown out of it.

Yup, Eimear's immediate reflex when she wakes at night is to sit up.

I would try the safety sleep again - safety pin it down so he can't un-do it ... as I couldn't get up 10x a night! But I'm someone who really needs my sleep.
I'm sure he will feel better with a good nights sleep too!!
