Hi everyone

This is so not my usual section of the boards! (I'm still TTC) (I've also just posted in the pregnancy section with another question, so I'm really branching out today!) Anyway, a friend has found she's expecting a baby, and is looking for recommendations for childcare in the Hamilton area.

Does anyone have any experience with childcare centres in the Hillcrest area? Any recommendations, or places to avoid? Any tips you've got would be greatly appreciated.

The creche at the University is supposed to be good, it is very busy though and has a huge waiting list.

How about homebased childcare? We use Waikato Family Homebased Childcare and have found them good. There are a number of different companies with carers in Hamilton though. I like it as we can be fairly flexible with hours as well as we know exactly who is looking after our children and they grow a bond with 1 adult.
