Okay, so the upshot is ,that i have this syndrome, which is why i keep miscarrying.

So when i get pregnant i start on clexane injections straight away, and will be on it until the baby is born.

I will also need to be on clexane injections for all pregnancies.

I will also be closely monitored, weekly scans etc.

so roll on the next pregnancy

I have the same thing too and wasnt expected to carry Alize for very long. I had ongoing tests for APS and lupus as it is in the same family. An auto immune disorder. Im lucky that my levels have decreased since having Alize and havent been tested since he was a couple of months old.  Saw OB monthly (Howard) till 35weeks gest

MIne was picked up at a full physical I had thru my previous work as they did blood tests to test for everything.

Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome or APS is an autoimmune disorder in which the body recognizes certain normal components of blood and/or cell membranes as foreign substances and produces antibodies against them. Patients with these antibodies may experience blood clots, including heart attacks and strokes, and miscarriages. APS may occur in people with systemic lupus erythematosus, other autoimmune diseases, or in otherwise healthy individuals.

APS is also known as APLS, APLA, Hughes Syndrome or "Sticky Blood."

Thats great that you have an answer now Kaz. It must be very comforting to know that there are things you can do to make sure you are able to carry babies. Do they know why you were able to carry Rhi without any issues though?

Yay for getting answers, best of luck in falling preg again. I was diagnosed with a similar sounding thing years ago, ANA, anti-nuclear antibodies, and was advised to take 1/4 aspirin a day for the first 3mths. Sounded weird at the time lol but turned out to be right.
