Oh my god, she is driving me up the wall
"go away mummy" "mine mine mine" "no no no" "No mine, go away" Oh and then there is the "not allowed to peel the orange or banana, because she wants to do it herself, then she gets frustrated because she cant do it, but still wont let me do it" there is plenty more but yeah...someone please tell me she will grow out of it soon ------------- http://lilypie.com">

It does sound kinda normal  It was just before all that happened to us that I found myself scouring our local library's shelves for parenting toddlers books!! Pretty much you need to work with the independence thing so that she can learn to make decisions but in a safe environment. Choosing out of two options of things to do or clothes to wear seems to be the easiest way to start.-------------  |

NO! is Amelia's fav word.. does drive you a little crazy I know!
Also - no dad / go away dad (poor dad) ... and every time I ask her to come to me or do something she runs away (inside the house). At least I can reason with her (at the moment). We had the 'no' then sink to the ground in the shopping centre yesterday - because I told her she had to hold hands. So I picked her up and told her that she either had to hold my hand while she walked, or she went back in the buggy ... guess what she choose!?! ------------- Selina http://lilypie.com">

Yup very normal  Amelia has been saying NO NO NO for months and it drives me insane some days. It is her answer to everything, no matter how you word it!! She has liked to do things for herself for ages and I have found if we let her do it then we do it, it helps - doesn't always work but most of the time.
