Do kids go through a separation anxiety phase around 2?
Elle hasn't really ever had one of these phases. ATM she is 100% fine with Nana and Poppa (loves them so much she doesn't even bother to say goodbye to me) but when with me, she wants to be held most of the time, doesn't want anything to do with DH etc. She is also suddenly very frustrated. Lost the plot BIG time yesterday because she dropped some food off her spoon. It took her about 15mins to recover. I take it they go through patches of frustration at this age too? I don't know if I'd say that it's seperation anxiety exactly, but I know Erin is reasonably cautious of other people at the moment, especially if she hasn't seen them for a while.
But you've hit the nail on the head with the frustration thing, we get this heaps - although often there is another reason behind it rather than "pure" frustration, ie: tiredness / hunger etc. ------------- Mama to two earth walkers & two angels. Yup, think so. At the moment Leah has to be held by me or pushed by me if we are out, even if its with grandma! Not very helpful while trying on maternity bras I can tell you!!! She also gets very frustrated if something "goes wrong" with what ever she is doing. Can make for a very long day! -------------

Miss M is very cautious of other adults that she doesn't know or hasn't seen in a while but not ones she knows well.
As for getting frustrated, she can get very frustrated if she is trying to do something and it "goes wrong" as LisaD put it. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

Elle's not actually cautious of other people - she is very very social (amazing given the fact that no one could go near her when she was a small baby!). Its just around home that she wants to be with me. I think perhaps it is also because she is obsessed with helping, especially "coooooking, mummy, cooooking". ------------- Mummy to Gabrielle and Ashley |

Benjy isn't terribly clingy at the moment, he does love his cuddles though and can be a bit of a koala if he's tired.
He is doing the frustration thing big time! He is reaching that really independent stage where he wants to do everything himself, but he doesn't quite have the skill to do a lot of the tasks he takes on and packs a big tanty if it doesn't work out. ------------- Mel, Mummy to E: 6, B: 4 and:
